Are Payment Plans Available?
Yes! When you book your room you will receive a confirmation email. Within that email you will find a link that says Payment Options. When you click on the link you will be able to see your balance and Pay A Custom Amount.
How much time will be spent together at the resort?
Since this is a destination wedding, we do want to give our guests time to themselves to enjoy Cancun and all the resort has to offer. We would like to meet on the evening of July 3rd to welcome everyone. Other than that, July 5th at 5:00PM is when the wedding kicks off. These are the only two times we are asking our guests to meet. Enjoy yourselves!
What is the wedding guest count?
Our goal is to have no more than 50 people in attendance. We really wanted a small and intimate ceremony with the people we are the closest to. Narrowing it down to 50 people was tough.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to our limit of 50 guests, no plus ones are allowed at our wedding and reception. Even if you are traveling to the resort with a friend, the only guests that may attend our wedding and reception are those who received an invitation with their name on it. If your invitation says "Mr. Smith and Family", this includes only the people in your household. When RSVPing, please list all of those from your household that are for sure coming.
What are the wedding colors?
Black and white.
How should I dress for the wedding?
The attire is Black Tie Formal. Ladies should come in all black. Men are welcome to wear a white dress shirt. No other colors are allowed.
How long were yall dating before getting engaged?
We dated for a little over 3 years before getting engaged.
How long have you two known each other?
We met in 2008 when attending the same middle school. We rode the same school bus and had many mutual friends.
Is the Resort Family Friendly or Adults Only?
The resort is family friendly BUT has an adult only option for your rooms in what is called the Turquoise Tower. Only guests 18+ who have a room in the adults only Turquoise Tower may enter this building. Amenities in this tower not only include VIP check in, adult only rooms, but also an adults only rooftop pool and bar. The large resort also offers 2 adult only restaurants. If you are not traveling with children and are interested in having a room separate from families with children, book your room in the Turquoise Tower. Our travel agent Marvette can assist you. If you do not specify that you want your room in the adults only tower, your room will be on the family side of the resort. No matter where your room is, all of the amenities on the resort’s property are family friendly with the exception of the 2 adult only restaurants and the rooftop pool/bar.
Besides the airfare and boarding, what other expenses should I prepare for?
Credit Card Hold
The resort does require a credit card to be put on file upon checking in. The max amount that will be held is $500 in case you damage any resort property during your stay. As long as you do not incur any damage, the hold on your credit card will be released after your stay. We wanted to provide this information upfront so that there are no surprises that arise that may cause guests to be upset on arrival. This is a common practice at many hotel franchises worldwide. We hope that this does not deter you from coming! Again, the hold is only temporary and will be processed for release after you check out of the resort.
Transportation to and from the airport
Transportation to and from the airport costs around $15-20 per person depending on your transportation method. For example, these are shared vans that take visitors to and from the many hotels in Cancun.
Cancun Shuttle: Around $15 USD per person.
USA Transfers (shared option): Around $12-$18 USD per person.
Happy Shuttle Cancun: About $12-$16 USD per person.
